Strength and Release
This class combines yoga asana, functional movement and some restorative/relaxation poses. Focusing on stability and mobility, this class aims to build better movement for all, and to create a better awareness of how and why we move the way we do. This class is suitable for all levels, although there may be flowing sequences and lots of getting on and off the floor!
Relax and Restore
A yoga class designed to relax, renew, and re-balance busy minds and tired, tense bodies. This class combines gentle yoga sequences and breath-work with remedial and functional movements, as well as plenty of restorative yoga poses. Suitable for all levels.
Restorative yoga is all about relaxing the nervous system, releasing muscular tension, and creating a calmer mind. It involves lots of props and hands-on adjustments to help each student completely relax into every pose. Most poses will be lying down or seated and will be held for an extended period of time (usually from 5 to 20 minutes). Although suitable for everyone, Restorative yoga can be particularly beneficial to those who are injured, suffering from depression or anxiety, or for those who would like a more gentle yoga practice.
